Dykuma means Desert in Lithuanian. The vase's shape is inspired by the ancient Egyptian ceramic tradition and features sun, water and star relief symbols on the surface. Through its shape and raw yellow clay surface, it tells the story of a distant desert - a metaphor for the inner deserts of life's wanderings.
This original piece is entirely handbuilt & handcrafted. The surface is kept raw, unglazed, leaving the natural texture of rough yellow chamotte clay sensible. Glazed inside. High-fired at 1225°C. Suitable for water storage.
Dimensions: H 25cm x Ø 12cm
