Tarot series
The Tarot series vases are inspired by the mythology and symbols of the Major Arcana of Tarot cards. The designs of these pieces are influenced by the style of Ancient Greek vases, creating an original synthesis between the classical shapes and the modern interpretation of mysticism.
Mėnulis (Lithuanian for The Moon) “Life of the imagination apart from life of the spirit”. A symbol of being guided by intuition, reading dreams, exploring doubts. Shall the chaos of the mind not cloud the peace of the subconscious moving within us to the rythm of the lunar cycles. Things are really not what they appear to be & the reality consists of both seen and unseen.
This one-of-a-kind piece is entirely handbuilt & handcrafted. The surface is kept raw, unglazed, leaving the natural texture of rough chamotte clay sensible. Glazed inside. High-fired at 1200°C. Suitable for water storage.
